Thank you Chandra - that explains the process, but I have not configured the service to delete the files nor do I have a database specified to use the service. I also have no prompts, dialogs, or command windows open on the server.

My concerns are that with the constant message on the server console, could it cause the server to fail/crash? I have seen messages similar to this (terminated abnormally) that after a short period of time will bring down a server. Server is still up after 36 hours of executable terminated message starting.

Also, is the a procedure to stop the nfileret executable while the server is up or do I have to restart to clear.

Thanx
